Some of the many benefits of this feeding system is. 1. 2Qt container allows for less bacterial loads on bees over consumption times. 2. Non-invasive and low disruption “stress” to your honey bees. Some feeders require you to tear into the hive to refill the sugar syrup. This causes stress on your bees. Avoidable stress 3. cost effective. 4. time and energy saver. Why would we prefer a smaller 2 Qt container? Sugar syrup spoils very fast and grows all sorts of nasty molds and bacteria. Additives or preservatives could be add to sugar syrup to allow for the syrup to last longer. We prefer less additives or preservative if we can avoid it.
